Prowl Alert
Do you want Push Gmail to your iPhone? Are you annoyed that you have to Fetch the data manually from Googles servers at the cost of your iPhones battery life, then this may be a solution for now anyway..All you need to do is install Growl on your Mac or PC, then add the Gmail Growl App and head on over to Prowl which you will also need to install on your iPhone and then effectively youll have push notifications to your iPhone whenever you receive a new email.
The major problem using this method is that your computer needs to be on all the time to forward the push notifications.
There are other problems such as you dont always get all the notifications of new email all the time so its a bit flaky still but it does do the job.
